What happens in a lesson?

Alexander Technique is taught individually, so lessons are adapted to you and to the things you would like help with.

We might begin with an everyday activity such as sitting, standing or walking. Instead of moving automatically, you’ll learn to stop before moving, giving yourself time and choice. With my hands and verbal guidance, I’ll help you recognise unnecessary effort and discover how you can move with more ease.

We may also explore activities that are particularly relevant to you, such as working at a screen, giving a presentation or playing an instrument. Back ache and eye strain can be the result of unhelpful habits.

The work is unhurried and practical. Over time, you learn how to apply the principles for yourself in daily life.
